Daily Offering

Eternal Father,
through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I offer up to you the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ
– in atonement for the sins of all humanity,
 – for the dying und the deceased in purgatory
– and for the renewal of the Church in the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Glory be to the Blood of Jesus – now and forever!

Prayer to the Holy Family

Jesus, you chose the family as the way to become our Redeemer as God and man. We thank you for the thirty years in Nazareth and for the beginning of your own family, the Church, on your way to Jerusalem.

Send us your Holy Spirit from our Father in heaven so that our natural and spiritual families will become more and more identified with your Church.

Mary, you were always willing, in your Immaculate Heart, to sacrifice your personal thoughts and plans in order to participate completely in the work of our Redeemer.

Under the cross you became the Mother of the Church and of all humanity. We honour and love you―Queen of Heaven and Earth.

Saint Joseph, you accepted the will of God without hesitation in every situation of your life. We praise God for your noble heart and the untiring care with which you served Jesus and Mary.

Protect our families and the entire Church, especially the lonely and the dying. Amen.

Novena to the Precious Blood

Lord Jesus Christ, when you returned to your Father in heaven forty days after your resurrection, you told your disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit together. They prayed nine days in order to receive the gift of all gifts and to become true apostles. In the confidence that also today, you give us those things which serve our salvation and blessing, we ask you: Enlighten our minds and purify our hearts that we may learn to pray in the proper way. Give us the grace that we can pray together with Mary, as you gave it to the apostles. For she is the handmaid of the Lord as well as the “intercessory omnipotence.”
Lord, you have said: “Ask, and it will be given to you; search and you will find, knock and the door will be opened for you!” We are invited by your word and come to you with a special request:

(silence)

Dear Jesus, we trust in your love and your mercy which you have shown through your Precious Blood. You always had time and patience for the poor and the sick, for the despised and the sinners. You wiped the tears of the widow of Nain, you answered the prayer of the pagan captain and you rewarded the trust of Martha. Give us, too, the joy of having experienced your special help.
If, however, our wishes do not correspond with your plans, invigorate us with the special strength of faith. We want to say with you:
“Father, not my will, but yours be done.” Let us always trust that your ways are the better, even if we often do not understand them. Thus we thank you already now for answering our prayers. For you are love, and everything you give us or allow to happen to us, serves our eternal goal and salvation. Amen.

For the Grace to be Able to Forgive

Lord Jesus, Redeemer! You do not want us to repay evil for evil, but rather that we overcome it by good. We should reconcile ourselves with those we find unlikeable, or those who have hurt us. It is not easy to pray truly and sincerely from the heart for those who are distant from us through their character, point of view or bad experiences, and for those we prefer to have nothing to do with. Your precious Blood, however, reminds us that you love all people―without exception. You also suffered for those from whom we would like to flee, whom we reject. We ourselves have experienced forgiveness many times. We pray every day: “… as we forgive those who trespass against us”.
Therefore, Lord, we implore your spirit. May it purify our hearts, our love and our view of others. We want to see others through your eyes. We would like to see and value the good in them, even if human weaknesses and limitations darken our view.
We ask for the grace to forgive others truly and fully, so that we learn to love like you, so that through our love your saving Blood will touch the souls of our fellow men anew. Help us to forgive, so that we may receive your forgiveness and thus obtain the joy and glory of your, and our, Father in Heaven. Amen.

Prayer for Healing and the Strengthening of Faith

I am grateful for my life, which the Eternal Love has given me, and I ask God the Father through Jesus Christ for the renewal of my baptismal grace. By it, I became a child of God and His church: I want this fully and completely and am determined to live according to the Word of God under the leadership of the shepherds of the church. Therefore, I forgive all those who have injured me―consciously or unconsciously―or have harmed me in some way. Likewise, I ask for forgiveness of all my sins, as well as for deliverance from the consequences of the sins of my ancestors or other negative influences, which could weigh heavily on me and my family.
In the name of Jesus I reject Satan and all his companions, helpers and accomplices as well as the ill-fated deceased. In the strength of the sacrament of baptism I break and destroy all relations and influences which came into being through our sins or from occult practices with the powers of darkness.
In the power of the Blood of Christ, I completely evade the consequences of all curses and imprecations as well as the effects of fortune telling, magic and spiritualism and destroy it in the river of mercy which pours out to us from the wounds of Christ.
I ask the Holy Spirit to destroy all ill-fated relations that still bind me to my ancestors or other persons and things. I give over those who have left this world without being in the peace of Christ, to God’s justice and mercy, through the workings of the Archangel Michael.
By the intercession and intervention of Mary, the immaculately conceived Virgin and Mother of God, the “woman clothed with the sun” and victor in all God’s battles, I ask for the full freeing of my body, soul and spirit from all demonic burdens, so that I may witness and praise, together with all His angels and saints, God’s omnipotence and mercy, his goodness and love now and forever more.

I also ask for the help of my guardian angel, patron saints and all God’s friends, that I―freed from all tormentors―may lead a life of humility, prudence and gratitude as it befits the will of God and the heart of Jesus. Amen.

Prayer for Purity

Lord Jesus Christ, you have called those blessed who have a pure heart and have promised them that they will see God. I often lose sight of you, because my heart is stained with egoism, envy and ambition. Through lack of modesty and through curiosity, I often allow my thoughts, feelings and eyes to be diverted to unclean images. I then lose the joy of faith and the brightness of conscience. It is difficult for me to pray, others get on my nerves, and my love for you and my fellow man becomes cold.
Therefore I ask you, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, for the gift of purity. Let me avoid with prudence and firmness what could lead me into temptation and give me the courage to escape when I am too weak for the fight. Together with Mary, I constantly want to see you in my fellow man, thus maintaining with them a healthy closeness and the necessary distance. Amen.

Saint Michael the Archangel,

defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the Power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

At the Beginning of the Hour of Adoration

We glorify you, our most holy Lord Jesus Christ, here and in all your churches in the whole world. We praise you, for you have redeemed the whole world by your holy Blood, shed on the cross.

Prayer for the Reparation of Sin

O my God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love you. I ask pardon of you for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love you. (Fatima)

For the Grace of a Peaceful Death

Lord, my God, I know that nothing in my life is as certain as my death and nothing is as uncertain as the moment when my life on this earth ends. Therefore, I thank you for the faith that allows me to look at these realities in a new way: By the death and the resurrection of your Son, I no longer need to fear death―thanks to the Blood of Christ, I can calmly face the last judgment: The Father who loves me infinitely, and that place for me which the Redeemer has prepared―both await me.
I ask only for one thing: that I be well prepared for death! Give me your Spirit, that I am always ready to end my earthly life at any time―reconciled with you and with all people. However, I would also like to be prepared to continue to live and work, if it serves the realization of your plans: May your holy will be done in all things! Amen.
